Setting Up With an iOS/Android Application for Mountaineer Pagan Nexus

Here a SmartPhone with a touch screen allows the owner to use the device to perform various functions such as browsing the web, downloading apps, taking photos, etc. using a touch screen with ease. Though these features can be found in non-smartphones, and even some unsupported for this site and the Mountaineer Pagan Nexus network, these features are usually at a level in which they are (depending on coverage) capable of being used quickly and efficiently, often one or more features at the same time, and are able to connect to the internet through both cellular data and through WiFi connections at homes, businesses, and public places. Though device quality varies, the ability to access an application store, such as the App Store on iOS Apple devices or Google’s Play store on Android-based devices, allows for users to choose to add and remove applications whenever they choose.

First, let’s identify what is and is not a smartphone. A smartphone is a device typically made by Apple (who exclusively makes the various models of iPhone and all other iOS-based devices such as the iPad), or other manufacturers who create Android-based devices such as LG, Samsung, Huawei, Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi, Lenovo, ZTE, Alcatel, and several others. While all the companies, besides Apple, may make other non-smartphones, it is typical that most consumers have a compatible device. If you can browse the web, are using a touch screen, and you are able to download other apps to your device, you are most likely using a smartphone.

Exceptions, however, do occur. As there are some “not-so-smartphones” and some “unsupported smartphones” that may still be floating around in consumer’s hands. Windows-based phones, Research in Motion Blackberry phones (ones that do not run on Android), many TracFone devices, just to name a few that are not running iOS or Android will not be able to download the Mighty Networks app as one has not been created for their device or their platform, and/or the use of apps is restricted and limited by their carrier for the device(s) they sell.

When visiting http://network.mountaineerpagannexus.com from your phone, you may be prompted to download the Mighty Networks app on your Android or iOS device. If not, do not worry, you can also manually download the application as well.

You can use the buttons here to download the application from the appropriate store for your device. Apple App Store for iOS devices and the Google Play Store for Android devices.

If you are unsure which device you have, apple devices will have an Apple logo  on the rear cover. If your device is identified by brand names such as LG, Samsung, or some other company than Apple, you most likely have an Android device. There are, however, some small exceptions to that.

If you do not see an Apple logo on the rear of your device, use the Android link. If that link does not work for you, please feel free to reach out to us for help identifying your device and its compatibility with the application at support@mysticpcwv.com.

Install Mighty Networks

Google Play and the Apple App Store Icons

You may either use the link above from your device, or open the application store for your device (Play Store, App Store, or a similarly named app depending on your device) that you use to download and install applications.

Choose the application from Mighty Networks as indicated below where both the app name and the developer’s name are both Mighty Networks. At current, there are no other “knock-off” apps, but this can change. Always be careful to install the correct application. We will update the links above to reflect any new changes to ensure you always have an up-to-date link to download the application on the appropriate platform.

Application Screen on an iPhone, Provides Access to All Applications on the Device

Once you have downloaded the application and it is installed, either choose the “Open” button on the application or choose the icon for the application from your application screen on your device.

Accessing applications on your device may require hitting a home button, swiping up on the screen, choosing an icon or another action to get to the place where applications are stored.

After Opening Mighty Networks, It’s Time to Find and Add Yourself to Mountaineer Pagan Nexus

Once the Application is open, you will see the following as you navigate to adding yourself to Mountaineer Pagan Nexus.

Once the application is open, you should see the above screens which allow you to choose whether you are finding a network, creating a network, or signing in.

If you are creating an account to log in for the first time, select find a network.

Choose search at the top of the screen and type “Mountaineer Pagan Nexus” into the search box. Choose Mountaineer Pagan Nexus from the list.

Once you have selected the network, you will see the following screen. You can either create an account or you can choose to sign in to your Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, or Apple accounts and create an account based on that login. If you choose to use an existing Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, or Apple account, you will need to allow Mighty Networks access and approve the request to allow it to share information including First Name, Last Name, and profile photo to continue. Depending on the account type you choose, there may be additional steps to finish creating your account. If you have any questions or need additional help, please contact support@mysticpcwv.com for assistance.

If you have previously created a login on the web browser, you can sign in.

Please do not create a second account, as this can become confusing for both you and us, your fellow community members, as one “you” will see some friends, notifications, and messages, and the other “you” will see other friends, other notifications, and other messages, and we will be generally confused as to which “you” we should contact, friend, message, etc.

If you have created a second account by mistake, wish to remove one or more accounts, etc. please contact us at support@mysticpcwv.com.

To create a new account without using an existing Google, Facebook, LinkedIn or Apple account, please enter your First Name, Last Name, and choose or take a photo for your profile picture. You may see a screen such as the one below during this step. There’s also another alert to give permission to access your camera should you decide to take a new photo for your profile. Additionally, using the camera will present you with two other buttons, one to change cameras (if your device has multiple cameras to choose from) and a photo roll icon if you change your mind about taking a photo and would like to choose one instead from other photos on your device, as well as a shutter button to take the photo. The camera change button is on the left, the photo roll button on the right, and the shutter button to take the photo in the center.

While setting up your account, you may be prompted with a few different screens and alerts.

The application will ask to access the devices location, you may choose “Allow only while using the app” or “Deny.” If you do allow, and there’s any issue gathering location data, which may simply be a time out, “Something went wrong” may display. Location is not required to use this application, and only helps with letting you know which members are near you, which can be useful when at events or looking for those nearby that may be interested in a local group, local event, etc.

In order to add a profile photo, you will be prompted to “Allow Mighty Network to access photos, media, and files on your device?” To add a photo, you will need to choose “Allow.”

Whether choosing or taking a photo, you may be prompted to make this photo into a square image so that it displays properly in within the circle shape that it will be presented as throughout the site. To adjust, you can touch anywhere inside the lines to move the square around the image, and you can use the outer lines to adjust the size of the square to zoom in or out on the image.

Once you have selected or taken, and adjusted, or skipped adding, your profile photo, press the “Next” button at the bottom of your screen.

You will then be asked for an email address and to provide a password. This password must be typed twice, the same password each time, to ensure that this is the password you really want to create.

After typing your email address and your password twice, press the “Create Account” button.

Before you’re finished, you will also be prompted about allowing access to location, which you can allow or deny.

Once you have made your location access selection, you will briefly see a welcome screen before being taken to the Mountaineer Pagan Nexus Feed.

Your account is all set up!
